27: Lessons from The King's Speech

First and foremost, I want to congratulate The King's Speech as they bagged the Oscars. Second, to Colin Firth ... my crush of the moment. hahaha! Anyway there's a lot to learn in this movie: Humility, courage, loyalty, and trust. I like what I had seen in the movie and what it had taught me. King George VI's courage was sublimely inspiring because though he had a trouble speaking, it never became a hindrance for him to take the position of a King. He may have doubts and felt uncertain in taking the position, but he regarded his responsibility higher than his fear.

Queen Elizabeth's love and faith was also inspiring. She stood beside him and helped him throughout his ordeals. If not for her unwavering faith that his stuttering can be cured, he wouldn't be healed.

Lionel Logue's perseverance and trust in him is evident the moment King George took a step in his office. I also like how he did not back down and became too accommodating because he is King George. He took his stand and laid down his rules. I like that he was not intimidated but rather treated the King as his equal. He may not be qualified as a true Speech Therapist but his love towards helping was enough to qualify him.

The way Lionel had treated King George made King George subconsciously trust him. Thus, the reason why King George does not stutter that much when he talks to Lionel.

I was touched that Lionel was not discouraged when King George walked away from him. Instead of feeling ignored and mad when he had been dismissed so suddenly, he still came to him as a real friend. It had reminded me of how friends should be.

It had taught me to become of their character ... and I am going to be as such.

26: Blackberry evades me

So I have decided earlier that I am going to pursue buying Blackberry but unfortunately, the seller wasn't responding to my text. I take it that he's not really interested or whatever. But with what he did, made me think that probably it's not yet again the right time.

*laughs* It had happened twice already when the opportunity for buying Blackberry arises but eventually didn't happen. Does that mean that I am not destined to buy one? Or just a coincidence? hahaha! Okay, rat. I am just justifying my action for not persuading myself to buy one this soon. When I will buy, will still be a question that will linger on my head over and over again. But for now, I am going to be happy with what I have .... my century year old cellphone. But I will definitely buy, not just this soon.

In fairness to my phone, it had been with me for over 8 years already and I give praise to its durability because it did saved me a lot of money. :)

Anyhow, Sunday is about to end for me. Weekends just passes me by. Saturdays and Sundays are the fastest days in my life. I never have felt its presence only when it is about to end. :c

So, I guess my weekdays will be busy this time and I am hoping that I will have a good one.

Oh, yeah two weeks from now, it'll be my birthday.

25: Blackberry dilemma.

I am currently in dilemma. I am torn between buying Blackberry 9700 Bold 2 or sticking to my budget. There are pros and cons, but what really pushes me back in dismissing the thought of buying it, is the fact that I am in an finance diet.

When I try to contemplate what are my reasons why I should buy it, I only ended up with: I have to buy a new phone since my phone is way too old already.

Seriously, I couldn't care less of cellphones because I really think it's an expensive material. But what allures me of this cellphone is because of it's durability and it's being organized. I think this cellphone can outlast a century. Plus, knowing that I have an extra cash to spend is beckoning. But, but, but, but the nagging thought of me not needing it is just enough to pull me back.

Haaaaay, up until this moment I haven't had an answer yet.

24: Apologize

I think I like this one better. Anyway, if you want to know what I am talking about it's my layout. I just changed my layout from a designed one to this almost empty (layout). There's really no particular reason why I wanted to change, aside from the fact that I am bored with my previous one.

For today's entry, I want to write about how apologetic I am because I have been absent for so long. I guess it's fair to warn you to not be surprise if I apologize quite often, it's because I always feel bad if I know I have been neglecting what I should be doing.

So there, I'm sorry.

And I mean that with all sincerity.

23: :( & :D

I learned how dogs love when one day, I was so sad and my dog Pinky went into my room and placed her head on my lap. I did not share how I felt to anyone and it was she who had felt that something was wrong and was the first one to sympathize with me.

We might never spoke the same language but we definitely share our feelings.

.... I miss her but I know she's in the best place right now. <3

***

Anyway, baaaaah I'm going to skip talking about that because I might eventually weep. HAHAHA! Today, I spent half of my time sleeping, a bit of reading, updating my story, updating my sketch, making finance manager program in Excel, and crocheting. I literally did not leave my room today except when I go to use our bathroom or eat.

My mom knocked on my door and asked me if I was being a *cave woman* again (this had been our joke when I don't go out of my room) and I told her that it's just for today because I am getting behind my works. When she asked me of what I am doing, she laugh a little and told me that I should stop getting a head of my time. I told her that I was actually procrastinating last week and just had the opportunity to work on my stuff today, so I was a bit loaded. But I assure her that I was having fun doing those.

*sigh* But  I thought that she was right. So I just stopped crocheting. After updating this, I might get some goodie-foodie and watch some zombie movie. :] HAHAHA that rhymes.

So how was your weekend? :)
