214: Travel - Day 2: Singapore - Back to Being a Kid

Singapore - Sentosa particularly is known as Asia's biggest playground. Sentosa offers quite a numerous things to do - for fun. They have themed parks, shows, rides, games, etc., basically things that one with child at heart would certainly enjoy. That's where we headed on our second day.

People who go to Singapore would not want to miss going to Universal Studios, because come on USS  offers A LOT of fun things to do. The only problem there is that since it's a tourist attraction expect a huge line. I am glad that my sister was able to get an exclusive pass that we were able to enjoy ALL the rides in USS in express.

Our badass pass
Here we go

I'm really impressed with these people! They literally live up to their characters.
Plus, they are beautiful! :)

Someone's just hanging out

Oh the crew people!

Love this Egyptians lol

Man, you should try their thick milkshake! It's unbelievably the best milkshake I ever had
If you're going to USS I'd recommend you to try each and every ride there is and watch all the show possible because I'm telling you it's worth it. It might make you feel a kid -- or even silly, but being silly for a moment is what you should be. Enjoy. Savor.

Going to theme parks such as this and extremely having a great time makes me realize how much I miss being a kid, where we became so mindless of the time passing by and just savoring every moment we are at bliss.

So many things had happened from trying to save every penny (oh man, Singapore is a little expensive, mind you), learning to know the directions, enjoying the heat, the wonderful people,., everything is just priceless.

I'm glad for the opportunity that I have for making travelling possible for us because we just cannot live in this life by merely existing we need to live it. Experience and create memories.

Next stop: BALI. WOOOT WOOT.

213: Bright Sun

Most of you probably have seen some of my post with music that's not so much known and/or singers that you must've not been so popular. I realized that I am so much into indie pop now-a-days. It's just so refreshing listening to this genre, because they are so far from today's hit songs. It's tough to find good indie songs because they are not commercialize, that it's either you dig them through the indie-pop genre streaming websites or get a recommendation from indie-pop-loving people. I get mine through recommendations and by listening to streaming websites on that genre, so it's mostly a testing what fits my taste.

I'm still a newbie of this genre but I'm getting into it. I hope you'd like the collection I made:

// Gone - Matt Nathanson
// Youth - Daughter
// Take it from Me - the Weepies
// For Emma - Bon Iver
// Scissors - Eight and a Half
// Over the Love - Florence and the Machine
// Young and Beautiful - Lana Del Rey
// Love Love Love - Avalanche City
// Ships in the Night - Matt Kearney
// Stay - Tully on Tully

212: Everything Will Be Alright

credit
I like this. I like how comforting this statement is. Whenever I am emotionally wrecked, in trouble, or just simply feeling miserable I just think about this statement and it would never fail to comfort me. So there, let's remind ourselves the despite the misery, despite the toughness of life, everything is going to be alright. Hang in there.

211: Travel - Day 1: Lost in Singapore, Night Walk

Gad, so many pictures. I have too many pictures on our vacation that I couldn't find time to edit everything. So my apologies for posting raw pictures. But on my first entry, I'd be talking about how our 1st day in Singapore was. I love Singapore. I love it because the country was so organized and traveller friendly. I really think that their government puts tourism on top of their priority because they make the traveller's life easier.

Anyway my friend and I arrived on Singapore last June 13 around 4:30PM and since we are short in our travel period it was necessary that we start touring right after arriving.

The first place we went to was the night safari.

Look at how happy I am and how everyone looks tired!
My good friend looking excited too!
These flame spitting dancers!
More bad-assery
These signs that gives a real illusion of an approaching tiger.
The friendly deers!
My favorite animal: Elephant with a tusk no less!
My other favorite: Tiger
My apologies on a bad photography because my camera was having a hard time taking pictures at night. I'm glad that I was able to take a photo of my favorite animals: Elephant and tiger. I wish I could have taken a picture of the giraffe as it's also my favorite but the giraffe was too far and it's a little too dark for my camera to take a decent one.

What I love about the night safari is the chance to really see the animals without the cage. They were out on the field! The dangerous ones (tiger, wild dogs, lions) were not caged but they were in these wired places instead. Also, aside from taking the tram to take an educational tour inside the visitors has the chance to take a walk in the trails.

Taking the trail was really thrilling because the fact that the animals were not caged, it made us feel that it's likely that we'd come across some animals along the way! lol. Plus, the fact that it's dark made us feel like we were in the amazon! You cannot take the fear that we felt because if we take the wrong trail we might end up on the back of the Tiger's place. hahaha. My friend and I were fooling around to the point we ended up scaring ourselves!

I've got to tell you that going to the night safari despite not taking a rest was worth it. I enjoyed seeing the animals just as I did when I was a kid. I appreciate it more though considering that I am conscious enough of how beautiful and fragile they are.

If you go to Singapore, I'd recommend this one. Although it's a little pricey but it's worth it. I'd like to try the River Zoo in Singapore one day when it's already complete. I bet it's a wonderful place too.

209: On Travelling. WOOHOO!! ✈

©
I had been attempting to create a mini-video clip of nothingness, just random clips and probably have Bon Iver's Skinny Love play in the background or Colin Hay's Overkill. But I'd probably end up using Colin Hay's Overkill as it reflects more of myself. I have taken that .gif by the way. So hipster right? lol

For the past few days, I had been into music, running, traveling, and cooking. I realized that these things that I have mentioned are the things that I am obsessing at the moment. It's kind'a like the Eat, Pray, Love thing just missing the important role of Music. I just realized how these things really lift up my soul. With regards to travelling, I have attended this short travel presentation at Relik Bar and one of the speakers there said, 'Travelling is a priceless, you cannot remember the money you have saved but the memory of the happiness and of experience lasts a lifetime". I agree, and I totally have a different opinion now with travelling. It might have been expensive but the memories, the experience, the happiness gained/felt in that moment is just too priceless not to give - in.

With other things that I have mentioned such as running, music, and cooking is something that I'll be discussing later on. For now, for me travelling is bliss.

If you wonder where I am going, these are the places that I have booked so far:

Singapore ✈ Boracay ✈ Bali

They are quite costly, but dang it's priceless. I'll get back my expenses but I cannot miss the fun in going at these places. It's exciting, it's thrilling. I have pending places to visit yet. I never have plotted the places that I wanted to see, but now I will. How exciting, right?

I never knew how much travelling is important, I just realized when I took one. hihihi.

I can't get to sleep
I think about the implications
Of diving in too deep
And possibly the complications

Especially at night
I worry over situations
I know will be alright
Perhaps it's just imagination

Day after day it reappears
Night after night my heartbeat shows the fear
Ghosts appear and fade away

At least there's pretty lights
And though there's little variation
It nullifies the night from overkill
